Tempra® & Tempra® Plus Series

Stiebel Eltron manufactures Tempra® and Tempra® Plus Series models, for almost every conceivable water heating application. All Tempra Series models are essentially the same except for the maximum heating power. Similarly, all Tempra Plus Series models are essentially the same at each other except for their power rating. They differ only in the quantity and power rating of the heating modules. All Tempra and Tempra Plus models are manufactured in Germany at Stiebel Eltron's ISO-9001 certified factory. Nobody knows electric tankless water heaters like Stiebel Eltron which has been manufacturing electric heaters since 1924!

Tempra® Redesign

In 2009, Stiebel Eltron redesigned and upgraded the Tempra® Series of electric tankless water heaters inside and out to feature the next generation of German water heating technology. The new Tempra® Series includes upgraded heavy duty electronics, a simple single flow sensor design, and a hinged cover for easy access.

Tempra® Plus Launch

To coincide with the redesign and upgrade of the Tempra® Series, Stiebel Eltron also launched their new Tempra® Plus Series of electric tankless water heaters. The Tempra® Plus models included all the new technology of the Tempra® Series, with the added advantages of a digital temperature display, and advanced flow control.

Tempra® Plus Advanced Flow Control

Stiebel Eltrons advanced flow control is exclusive to the Tempra® Plus Series of electric tankless water heaters. It ensures that the unit provides a constant output temperature no matter how large of a demand is placed on the unit. It accomplishes this with a special internal valve that automatically adjusts the flow of water to eliminate temperature fluctions found in competitors models.

By nature of their design, the Tempra® & Tempra® Plus are nearly 100% efficient; converting 100% of the electrical energy it consumes into heat. All that heat is then transferred to the water - saving you considerable money on your water heating.
