BOSCH Limited Warranty

We, ROBERT BOSCH CORPORATION, warrant to you, the original user-purchaser that the instantaneous water heaters sold new by us are free from original defects in materials and workmanship as follows:

a. The HEAT EXCHANGER is warranted for a period of ten (10) years after the initial installation of the water heater: provided that the water heater is used for other than a single family residence then the heat exchanger is warranted for only one (1) year from installation of the water heater.

b. ALL OTHER PARTS are warranted for one (1) year after the initial installation of the water heater whether or not the water heater is used for a single family residence.

Within the applicable warranty period we will, at our option, repair or replace at no charge to you, any part that upon examinatino proves to be defective in materials or workmanship under conditions of normal use and service. Our obligations under this warranty are limited to supplying you with a free repaired or replacement part. LABOR CHARGES for the removal of any defective part or installation of any repaired or replacement part NOT covered under this warranty and are your responsibility. Shipping and handling costs for such parts and any other costs incurrred in connection with the removal and installation are also not covered by this warranty and are your responsiblity.

Any repaired or replacement part supplied by us under this warranty shall assume the identity of the orignal part for purposes of further warranty service and shall not extend the warranty on the water heater beyond its original term.

Specifically EXCLUDED from this warranty are any and all failures caused by any of the following:

1. Failure to observe applicable plumbing and building codes, our installation and maintenance instructions, or industry practice.
2. Failure to install a properly sized pressure relief valve, certified by the American Gas Association and/or Canadian Gas Association.
3. Operating the water heater at temperatures above the maximum setting of the high limit control.
4. Operating the water heater at water pressure higher than the working pressure shown on the heater.
5. Using non-drinkable water free to circulate at all times and not keeping the heat exchanger free from damaging scale deposits.
6. Using the heater in a corrosive or contaminated atmosphere, such as fumes from dry cleaning operations.
7. Improper installation or failure to observe our recommended maintenance and user precautions.
8. Any other misuse, abuse, neglect, external forces or unauthorized service.

This warranty applies only to water heaters sold and installed in the continental United States and Canada.

This warranty is limited to the orignal user-purchaser only and is not transferable.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND REPRESENTATIONS, ANY WARRANTY IMPLIED BY LAW, WHETHER FOR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE, SHALL BE EFFECTIVE ONLY FOR THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY. No attempt to alter, modify or amend this warranty shall be effective unless authorized in writing by one of our corporate officers. Some states do not allow limitations on how long implied warranties last or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the foregoing limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights under applicable state law.

Fill in the following for your own reference. Keep it. Registration is not a condition of this warranty. The model and serial numbers are found on the water heater's rating plate.
